The Greatest Gift of All - God's Love

The Greatest Gift of All

Is God\’s love the Greatest Gift of All? Take a moment to imagine what your life would be like if God had never sent His Son to earth. Think about how it would feel to exist without the promise of eternal life, or a connection to God. Consider how it would affect your relationships, your sense of self, and your vision for the future.  Because of the promise of Christmas, that will never be a reality.  The birth of Jesus was a physical expression of God’s extravagant love for humanity. We’ll never have to experience life apart from our Savior because God sent His Son to be with us. Click here to read about one of the ways to be great in the Kingdom of heaven No matter how busy or difficult this season may seem, we invite you to experience a fresh outpouring of God’s love. Take some time to reflect on what Jesus’ birth means for you. When you’re ready, pray the prayer below. The Greatest Gift of All – God\’s Love is what Christmas is all about A Prayer for Love: God,  Thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your Son for me, even before I loved You. It is through your gracious, steadfast love that I am able to understand why Christmas truly matters.  Remind me to reflect on the gift of Your Son in the days leading up to Christmas.  Transform me into someone who loves others just like You love me.  Please show me how to walk continually in Your love, that perfect love which casts out fear. I love you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A child\’s life is so precious and fragile

Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of God\’s love for the little ones in our lives. Because a child\’s life is so precious and fragile, these inspiring verses about children remind us that we should protect it and defend it every way we can. What’s more, we’re truly blessed to be called children of God – and welcomed so gladly by our loving Father.

Here is one of the ways to be great in the Kingdom of heaven

Matthew 18:2-5 He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. crown of thorns beside a bible - Easter

Two things you should do after Easter.

Easter. A time for Christians around the world to remember the ultimate expression of love that happened A really long time ag0. What can we learn from Jesus, his life, and his sacrifice? What lessons did Jesus teach us that we can apply to our relationships, marriage, and everyday life?  There are numerous lessons we can learn from Jesus.  I want to focus on a couple of key points that I believe all of us will be able to relate to. First, Jesus knows what it means to be abandoned and rejected.  When I read the Scriptures about the night Jesus was crucified I can only imagine what he felt.  In his time of need, the disciples abandoned him. Peter denied him.  Those he came to save rejected and condemned him.  Even as he hung on the cross and took upon himself our sins there was a separation between Jesus and the Father.  He was all alone.  I know that all of us can relate to the feeling of being alone.  It is painful and scary!  Yet, Jesus lovingly faced being alone so that we will never have to be alone and separated from God. The second point I take away from the Easter story is that Jesus is what I call the ultimate pursuer.  What I mean by this is that he never gives up on you?  His love for you is undying.  His grace is unending.  He wants you to connect with him in the deepest and most meaningful way.  Jesus wants you to know that you are loved even in your brokenness.  As the Scriptures tell us he will never leave or forsake us! Let us aspire to love as Jesus loved.  Let us allow God to transform us from the inside out making us more like Christ.  We all need to grow in grace and truth.  My prayer is that this Easter we remember the ultimate sacrifice Christ made for us.  We remember that God is not some distant uncaring supreme being who does not understand the human experience.   He knows our pain because he has experienced it personally!  Even more, his love and relationship are the cure to our pain. Let us also aspire to pursue others the way Jesus pursues us.  Remember to love your spouse, your friends, your enemies, those who are not like you, those who think or act differently, and the broken and downtrodden.  In so doing may we fulfill what Jesus taught as the greatest commandment… love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
